I’m Chris Coulter and I’ve been producing, mixing and mastering music since I was 16 years old and I’ve been doing it professionally since 2007.
Bring your musical vision to life with my recording and production services. Utilising state-of-the-art studios and my extensive experience as a producer and engineer, I'll ensure the perfect environment for creating high-quality recordings.

I have worked with hundreds artists, including Morgan Rose, Arcane Roots, Jamie Lenman, Interlaker, and Idles.
My passion for music and sound began when I played guitar as a child. I studied Music Production at the internationally acclaimed Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and later earned a BA (Hons) Degree in Music Technology from the University of West London.
I have also collaborated on projects with notable producers such as Dan Austin, Adrian Bushby, Rupert Christie, Ade Fenton, Mike Fraser, Sean Genockey, Scott Harding, Dave Schiffman, Space, and Adam Noble.
Career highlights include producing and mixing Arcane Roots' "Melancholia Hymns" for Easy Life Records and Sony Music. The album received significant BBC Radio One airplay, with two singles featured as Annie Mac's 'Hottest Record in the World.' It reached number 6 on the Official UK Rock Chart. I was also an engineer on the 2010 Classical Brits NS&I Album of the Year "Only Men Aloud" and the Top 10 album from Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends.
I believe I have an excellent rapport with my clients, fostering long-standing relationships. To produce the best possible records, artists need to feel relaxed and at home in the studio for their creativity to flow.

The Arch Recording Studio - Southport
A fully equipped 2,500sq ft studio provides artists with a generously sized all-in-one space to mix, make and create music. Its multi-purpose use is capable of accommodating all of your needs and it is packed with high quality equipment. Not only is the space visually stunning, but its flexibility to explore tailored and bespoke recording requirements distinguishes The Arch from other studios. Natural daylight pours in to accentuate every corner of this stunning space and floods it with light. Lovingly restored with original features, the space is both contemporary and classic in equal measure.

The Ranch Production House is based on a Farm in Southampton and has an epically large live room along with an equally spacious control room.
The studio boasts excellent outboard and an extensive microphone list along with more amps and snare drums that anyone would ever need!

Panic Button Studios is another studio with a large live room and control room. Great for bands of all sizes, including live recordings.
Most of the clients that have used this studio say that it’s ‘vibey’.
The studio is owned by Steve Lyons (Depeche Mode, The Cure).

Big Jelly Recording Studios - Ramsgate
Big Jelly Studios is housed in a recently converted Methodist Chapel.
Located right on the Kent Coast, Thanet is enjoying a huge renaissance as musicians, producers and artists move to the area in search of ways of maintaining a creative lifestyle. The live room boasts a 10 ft Elysian Concert Grand Piano, Hammond C3 with Leslie, Fender Rhodes and much more.

Stakeout Studios - Hampton, London
This is the studio where Chris ‘cut his teeth’ all the way back in 2007. Decimal Studios used to be located in Studio B of Stakeout Studios.
Sadly Stakeout Studios closed it’s doors in 2022.
